Spirit Days - Wednesday - Friday, November 16th - 18th
The MLC Spirit Days are free of charge to High School students.
Participation must be respectful. Shorts and thin (see-through) leggings are not appropriate. The appropriateness of student dress is at discretion of the administrators - if you have a question - ask in advance or bring an alternative item to school.

Spirit Wall Competition - Thursday, November 17th (time)
If you are interested in participating in the WALL COMPETITION you will need to stay after school on Thursday the 17th If you want to contribute but cannot stay - you can give your decorations to your classmates.
You should decorate in YOUR class colors. The Homecoming Committee will provide each class with streamers, balloons and tape. IN place of cash, the MLC will provide you with color themed supplies to decorate. Check out ideas online - themes and slogans for your wall will make your spirit SHINE! Your class should organize their efforts - the class with the MOST spirit will earn top points towards the CLASS CUP! |
SPIRIT WALL INFO: Students who are signed up are permitted to stay after school. There are no busses and students must be picked up promptly at 5pm. Students should plan for lunch on their own. If food is ordered, the correct amount must be presented to Mrs. Rowe upon ordering so the delivery people are not inconvenienced. Your task is to decorate for the pep rally on Friday. You will be provided posterboard, markers, tape, streamers, balloons and paper. Please bring in anything you have decided to make/buy for the class.

Class Duo's - NOMINATE - DEADLINE is Monday, November 16th
This is a BRAND NEW tradition!
We are looking for students to nominate a DYNAMIC DUO in their class! A DYNAMIC DUO might be people who are friends, two students who are funny beyond words or students who are strong athletes or students. You determine the criteria and share it with us. The only requirement is the DUO must be in the same class and you cannot nominate people from another class. All nominations will be confirmed and accepted before voting begins. To nominate a DYNAMIC DUO - you must fill out the form to the left. All information is required! In the nomination details - write a short explanation telling us why you nominated them and why THIS DYNAMIC DUO should be chosen. Nominations will be taken through MONDAY, November 16th. MLC High School Pep Rally - Friday, November 19th
Important NOTE! On Friday, all students should report to their period 2 classes for attendance.
The FALL Pep Rally is held to recognize all Fall HS Athletes and encourage class/school spirit. At the start of the event - all teams and athletes will be recognized and called to the main gym floor - please be prepared to come down!
This year, the Pep Rally will bring back the Class Cup! The Class Cup is a year-long battle between classes for the most spirit. Each month events are announced that will be tracked and contribute to the overall class score. Events include academic standing, attendance at events and participation in events! During the Pep Rally - there will be a number of fun "events" for students to compete in - a full list of events will be posted at the start of the Spirit Days. There will not be a basketball game between classes - that event is often part of the Spring Sports rally and March Madness.

Homecoming Football Game - Saturday, November 19th (10:30 am)
The CREC Colts play the Dean Technical School Golden Hawks on Saturday morning, November 21st, 2015 at 10:30 am. The field is located at the Public Safety Academy in Enfield, CT. The school address is 617 King St, Enfield, CT 06082.
Homecoming Dance - Saturday, November 19th 6-10pm
Tickets are $15 and on sale at all lunches. Last day for ticket sales is TUESDAY, November 17th
Reminder - NO STUDENTS can pay at the door. The ONLY exception is a guest who has turned in a form indicating they are coming and could not pay because they do not attend school at the MLC.
The dress code is "dressy/classy." Girls are not allowed to wear "pointy" heels due to the surface of the gym floor. In 2014, close to 200 student attended - check with a classmate if you have questions about what to wear - we hope some of these images help!
